For whatever reason standing T-bar row machines seem to be largely overlooked torture devices. This machine has a tremendous ability to dole out punishment because it cannot be maxed out on regardless of strength. The front loading horn (the harder one) can fit up to 6 plates. The rear loading horns can take 12 plates. That’s one heavy machine. Old school T-bar rows are tremendous for building upper back (and hamstring/spinal erector) strength, but they are taxing. This machine provides all the pros of traditional T-bar rows while taking away the less desired after effects on the joints.
