The Viking Press is the king of shoulder Machines. The Atlantis is the best of the Viking Presses, so it’s only natural that we had to have one.
When it comes to accessory movements, each limb working independently is preferred. The Atlantis is one of the few Viking Presses that is unilateral. We all have a stronger and weaker side, and the goal is making them as equally strong as possible.
The multiple grips on this machine are also fantastic. You can press facing the machine (like in the video) or press facing away from the machine for more of a true standing military press. You also have the choice of horizontal grips which will target all heads of the deltoid, or use the vertical grips to avoid shoulder pain and emphasize the triceps.
